Englischer Garten
O tym miejscu
Englischer Garten is one of the loveliest walks along the lakeshore and one of the liveliest parks in Geneva. Its avenues provide the ideal setting for an idyllic stroll in the city centre. In the middle of the park stands a huge bronze fountain that refreshes young and old passers-by. Just a few metres from the lakeshore lies one of Switzerland’s most photographed attractions: the famous flower clock. Its motifs and floral arrangements change with the seasons for visitors’ enjoyment. Alongside its decorative value, the flower clock also tells the time with Swiss precision: the time is transmitted by radio. Another important detail: with a length of 2.5 metres, its second hand is the largest in the world.
