Lena Violetta Leitner: Para(rt)sitic Protection Society (PPS)

Building on her 2024 residency, Lena Violetta Leitner develops the institution Para(rt)sitic Protection Society (PPS) for her solo exhibition in Nairs. The project does not see parasitic strategies as exploitative, but as creative, subversive forms of relationship with artistic and social potential. In the exhibition, an information terminal, a chatbot and resting and training stations invite you to interact. Inspired by behaviours through which parasites gain access, use resources efficiently and subtly influence hosts, visitors are encouraged to try out movements, postures and states that evade any immediate usefulness — but may perhaps bring about change in the long term.
