Schotterplatz is far more than a model railway layout in scale «G». There is plenty to discover on the area of over 1000 m2! Schotterplatz reflects typical Swiss landscapes. The prominent mountain in the middle of the layout, with the rack railway and the reversing tunnels, is a particular eye-catcher. By the way, on the subject of rack railways: at Schotterplatz there are also two exhibits of the originals: the rack railcar with operating number 123 of the Wengernalpbahn and the venerable passenger coach no. 17 of the Jungfraubahnen, also known as the Eiger-Ambassador-Express, built in 1912. Of course, western Switzerland is also represented on the model layout with four vineyards, two red wine and two white wine, in autumn colours with ripe grapes that are just waiting to be harvested. Transport, of course, takes place on rails. But there is also plenty to discover next to the layout. Schotterplatz combines the model railway world with components from the full-size originals. For example, a real mechanical master clock controls all the subsidiary clocks at Schotterplatz.
