The concert series Flury and The Nuborns enters the final round. The Nuborns are a music and research group. The emergence and development of jazz and pop music are part of their field of research. Although the necessary technology has been available since the Edison phonograph in 1880, the early phase of popular music remains entirely undocumented and a mystery for ever. In this nebulous space of cultural blending, of oral culture and written culture, the Nuborns dive in and search, in composition, interplay and improvisation, for their own version of early pop music. *** In this edition, the regular Nuborns ensemble will also meet inspiring guests, opening up new facets and spaces. So every performance remains unique.
