Nature and Forest Bathing

When was the last time you consciously breathed in the scent of moss, heard the rustling of leaves, felt the strength of the trees? In a world that spins ever faster, nature and forest bathing invites you to pause consciously. The aim of forest bathing is not only to calm our thoughts. We also want them to pulse with life, nourish them with new “food”, with the freshness and mystery of nature. It is a process through which we may leave old thought patterns behind, broaden our minds and gain new perspectives on our challenges. As we absorb the elemental scents and forms of the forest, we listen to the silence and trace the sounds of nature back to their source. With this practice, we sharpen our senses and gain fresh impulses that widen our view and can shed new light on the solutions to our problems. In the hectic busyness of our world, we are used to always expecting, performing and consuming. Forest bathing, however, invites us to let go of such constraints and instead meet the mysterious creation with deep mindfulness. As a certified stress and mindfulness trainer, I offer you professional guidance so you can deepen the art of breathing, mindfulness and meditation. I ensure safety and protection, so you can focus fully on the here and now. Use this day with me for lasting recovery and a break from everyday life. Benefits of guided forest bathing: Targeted guidance: as a dipl. stress and mindfulness trainer, I can guide you in mindfulness and meditation techniques. Safety: especially for people who feel uneasy alone in nature, the presence of an accompanying person offers safety, protection and orientation. I can also respond individually to the group’s wishes as an expert. Deeper experience: through targeted sensory exercises and reflection tasks, participants can have more intense experiences and focus fully on themselves. As a coach, I shield you from all discomfort and disruptions. Relaxation and stress relief: in a world full of hectic pace and constant reachability, I offer you a day to slow down sustainably and reduce stress. Sharing knowledge: as a nature coach, I can pass on a range of knowledge about flora and fauna and above all about the health-promoting properties of the forest, thereby deepening your understanding of the natural environment. Social component: in the group, you have the opportunity, if you wish, to exchange experiences. You can also nurture interpersonal and social relationships. Motivation: if you cannot motivate yourself enough when you are on your own, a guided forest bath could be just the thing for you. The health benefits of forest bathing also include a range of positive effects on body and mind. Here is a summary of the main benefits: Stress reduction: forest bathing has been proven to reduce stress and lower cortisol levels. Strengthening the immune system: inhaling phytoncides, i.e. bioactive substances from trees, can increase the number and activity of natural killer cells, which in turn strengthens your immune system. Lowering blood pressure: the calm stay in the forest during forest bathing can help lower blood pressure and thus support cardiovascular health. Improved mood: the natural environment promotes the release of happy hormones, improves mood and helps you reduce any depression. Improved concentration and clarity: by being distracted from urban noise and technological interruptions, your attention and mental clarity can be promoted again. Increased energy: greater oxygen uptake and breathing in the fresh forest air will raise your energy levels. Promotes relaxation and recovery: the relaxing effect of nature supports relaxation and rapid recovery from mental and physical stress. Meeting point: at the Soulness-Stübli Gallenkirch.
