Tentang tempat ini

Anna Jermolaewa (born in 1970 in Leningrad / Saint Petersburg, RU) turns her alert and empathetic gaze to moments in everyday life that are easy to overlook, and transforms them into vivid analogies for social and political realities. She often works in places linked to her own biography, especially in countries connected to the former Soviet Union, where she lived until her flight in 1989. Jermolaewa’s artistic practice includes video, installation, photography, performance, painting and sculpture. Her particular interest lies in the subtle mechanisms of influence that shape our everyday lives. At Kunstmuseum Liechtenstein, Anna Jermolaewa has already been represented in two group exhibitions. Two works by the artist are in the collection; both were part of her contribution to the Austrian Pavilion at the Venice Biennale 2024. For her major solo exhibition, Jermolaewa will develop new works.
