Waiting for Wings
Tentang tempat ini
The installation Waiting for Wings is part of the exhibition series «Zwischenräume» at Waschhaus Thalwil. It describes a closed, biotope-like system as a model space of metamorphosis. Butterfly pupae mark a stage between rest and becoming, while an artificially generated air current sets the curtains – high-resolution scans of butterfly wings on silk – into wing-like motion. The room remains closed and can only be experienced from the outside. huber.huber (Markus and Reto Huber), *1975, live and work in Zürich. The artist duo deals with themes that often move beyond what is immediately visible and tangible. In their works, they explore social, ecological and existential questions, and investigate invisible connections, forces and structures that shape our lives. They make these hidden dimensions perceptible and encourage you to rethink your own perception of the world. Contributors and additional information: huber.huber
