Discover our Schmetterlingshaus from 27 June to 29 August 2026 and experience the fascinating world of butterflies at first hand! In the tropical butterfly house, brightly coloured butterflies fly freely and create an unforgettable experience. They dance above flowering plants, settle on fruit or land lightly on your shoulder. Ideal for families and outings during the holiday season. In the Schmetterlingshaus, we want to give visitors of all ages a deeper understanding of the fascinating metamorphosis of butterflies and their important connection with nature. Through clear insights into the different stages of development – from egg to caterpillar and pupa, right through to the fully grown butterfly – we create an experience that invites both children and adults to marvel. Nature-close keeping: we place great importance on keeping the butterflies as close to nature as possible and always try to offer the animals an environment that is as natural as possible. During the exhibition, the temperature in our event greenhouse remains constantly between 25 and 30 degrees Celsius; a night-time drop to 20 degrees reflects nature. Together with humidity of 70% to 80%, this creates optimal living conditions. The glass structure of our greenhouse provides a maximum of natural light, which is essential for both the butterflies and the plants. Small waterfalls and ponds, together with the plant undergrowth, help maintain the high humidity.
