Solar eclipse and shooting-star night on the Fisetengrat

We spend a night under the stars on the Chammerstock / Fisetengrat, observe the Perseid meteor shower on the day of its maximum and, for anyone interested, there is an introduction to photographing the night sky. This year in particular, we can observe the solar eclipse until sunset. Sunset is at 20.13, just before the maximum of the eclipse. We hike from the Fisetengrat to the Chammerstock and spend the night there in our own sleeping bag under the magnificent starry sky, with a view of the Milky Way above the Tödi. A solar eclipse also means new moon, so ideal conditions for shooting stars. You bring your own food for the evening and morning. The event can only take place in stable weather conditions. A decision on whether it will go ahead will be made and communicated on Tuesday by 12 noon. Insurance is the responsibility of the participants.
