Ortsmuseum Dietikon
About this place
The Ortsmuseum Dietikon gives you an exciting insight into local history: Roman times in Dietikon, medieval finds from the small town and Glanzenberg Castle, as well as from the Schönenwerd ruins, photographic documentation of changes in the townscape, local chronicle and a model of the village fortifications 1939-1945. Existing military installations such as bunkers and tank barriers can be visited on request. A special exhibition presents the production and development of the stove tile and part of the tile collection. Demonstrations take place in a small smithy. Temporary exhibitions on specific topics round off the varied permanent exhibitions.
