The Schaulager can mainly be used by registered visitor groups. On guided tours, you get to know the late medieval house inside the Tenn and the collection is explained to you. The exhibition items mainly come from the holdings of the half-timbering enthusiast Walter Weiss from Unterstammheim. They include house models of all kinds, mainly scaled carpenter’s models made of wood and self-designed card model houses. Didactic and functional models are also shown, for example wooden joints, which make the half-timbering principle tangible. Photos, pictures, historical and current specialist literature, and wood samples from Switzerland and from all continents even let specialists discover unfamiliar things.
