It is also home to the Olympic Museum. The city is considered to be interested in sports and culture. From Lausanne you can see the Savoy Alps on the other side of Lake Geneva.
Montreux is known for its Freddie Mercury statue, the annual Montreux Jazz Fesitval, and nearby Chateau Chillon, a moated castle from the Middle Ages. It is the most visited historic building in Switzerland.
