Eating with locals

Eating with locals

Book a meal with local hosts at home with us. Dining with locals is almost like being invited to dinner at your friends' house. The only difference is that you pay for it and meet "your friends" for the first time. They may also take you on a food tour of their city. Most of the time, your hosts introduce themselves online and you can see if you have common interests and if you like them.

Frequently asked questions

Eating with locals · answered by the editorial team

Do the hosts speak my language?

Hosts often speak several languages. With each individual offer to eat with locals, you can read exactly which language(s) your hosts speak.

When dining with locals, are Swiss dishes exclusively offered?

No. The hosts come from all over the world. Whether Asian, European or South American food, virtually anything is possible. The hosts cook the food that they have learned to cook as locals. So with a host whose roots are in Peru, you can expect Peruvian food, for example.
