Vallorbe

Vallorbe is situated at the foot of the Jura Massif within the Jura Vaudois Nature Park. The village is situated in a basin of the Orbe River. Callorbe is known for the stalactite cave "Grotte de l'Orbe", about one km long, which is open to visitors. In the village there is a railroad museum "Maison Cailler", which houses one of the largest collections of historical locomotives and wagons in Switzerland. In summer, you can hike perfectly on the surrounding Jura heights. The Cascade du Day waterfall is a popular hiking destination.

“It was a fabulous day starting with a boat trip up the lake to Vitznau, then stepping onto the train up to Rigi Kaltbad. The mineral baths were totally relaxing, from the bubble pools to the stunning outdoor views, plus the herbal steam room, mineral pool tranquility and sauna. A truly sensational day.”
