Unterseen
Unterseen is located on the Aare River on the alluvial plain between Lake Thun and Lake Brienz. The municipality includes the Harder Kulm, the area west of the Hardergrat and the nature reserve Weissenau on Lake Thun. In front of the town there is a magnificent and almost unique panorama over the Bernese Oberland and the mountains Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. The picturesque old town on the Aare attracts visitors with relaxing walks along the Aare, great sun terraces of charming restaurants and cultural diversity. The surrounding area offers visitors many opportunities such as a trip to nearby Interlaken, water sports activities and many hiking and mountain biking tours.
