Saint-Ursanne

Saint Ursanne is a historic small town situated between two Jura chains in the wooded, narrow valley of the Doubs. Saint-Ursanne is reached via the Saint-Jean Népomucène bridge. Its medieval townscape is characterized by burgher houses from the 14th to the 16th century. Also three old city gates are still the entrances to the city. Also worth seeing are the old collegiate church and the early Gothic cloister from the 14th century. North of the city you can see the ruins of a castle, which was first mentioned in the 13th century.

“It was a fabulous day starting with a boat trip up the lake to Vitznau, then stepping onto the train up to Rigi Kaltbad. The mineral baths were totally relaxing, from the bubble pools to the stunning outdoor views, plus the herbal steam room, mineral pool tranquility and sauna. A truly sensational day.”
