Pontresina

Pontresina is the northern valley town of the Bernina Pass at the entrance to the Val Bernina. The highest side valley of the Engadine is sunny and sheltered from the wind. The village is surrounded by mountain peaks that reach heights of over 4000 meters. For this reason Pontresina has been a special attraction for mountaineers and recreation seekers alike since the 19th century. 850 km of hiking trails and 400 km of bike trails await active visitors. The Piz Bernina is particularly impressive, but Las Sours, Piz Alv and Piz Languard are also well-known destinations. From Pontresina, quad tours to the Bernina Pass are popular. In winter, ice climbers get their money's worth. Nordic skiing is regularly held in Pontresina in cups and world cups.

“Entertaining and varied, with many exciting and informative highlights. The entire tour was led with plenty of charm and humor. We learned a lot about Scuol and its history. And to finish, there was a delicious aperitif!”
