Leysin

Leysin is located in the district of Aigle in Vaud at 1253 m above sea level on a southern terrace. The place is particularly beautifully situated because it offers direct views of the valley through which the Grande Eau River flows east of the Rhone Valley. Because of the high proportion of sunshine, there is a particularly mild climate here. Leysin can be reached from Aigle by rack railroad in about 35 minutes. 250 km of hiking trails, some of which are also used for bike tours, are easy for families to walk. In addition, the rugged limestone cliffs offer a field of activity for climbers. In winter, 17 lifts and a snow park await visitors. In summer, Leysin offers a children's entertainment program.

“It was a fabulous day starting with a boat trip up the lake to Vitznau, then stepping onto the train up to Rigi Kaltbad. The mineral baths were totally relaxing, from the bubble pools to the stunning outdoor views, plus the herbal steam room, mineral pool tranquility and sauna. A truly sensational day.”
