Le Locle
Le Locle is a small community in the Neuchâtel Jura. It is located at 920 m.a.s.l. very close to France and offers great hiking and mountain biking tours in the surrounding area. The village itself has a cozy and warm atmosphere. Le Locle is considered the cradle of Swiss watchmaking and is therefore a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Famous watchmakers like Tissot, Ulysse Nardin, Certina and Zenith are still native to the small community. Every Friday morning, visitors even have the chance to visit and immerse themselves in the Zenith watch manufacture. There are also themed city tours, a watch museum and exciting workshops.

“It was a fabulous day starting with a boat trip up the lake to Vitznau, then stepping onto the train up to Rigi Kaltbad. The mineral baths were totally relaxing, from the bubble pools to the stunning outdoor views, plus the herbal steam room, mineral pool tranquility and sauna. A truly sensational day.”
“It was a really exciting and varied tour where you learned a lot about the prominent Winterthur families. I also loved some unexpected facts about trees.”
