Durch stille Riedwiesen schlängelt sich die Etappe ab Giswil dem Sarnersee entlang. Mit Blick auf historische Häuser und kleine Kapellen steigt der Weg zur höchsten gedeckten Brücke Europas über der Melchaaschlucht. Ziel ist das historische Winkelrieddenkmal in der Altstadt von Stans.
