Cully

Cully is located directly on the northern shores of Lake Geneva, only about eight km from Lausanne. The town is located in the famous wine-growing region of Lavaux. The Lavaux Express is a tourist train that runs through the steep vineyards in summer. Cully has a landing stage for the Lake Geneva shipping company CGN SA. The town lies on the routes between Lausanne and Vevey. In Cully, the historic center is worth seeing. It dates from the 16th to 19th centuries and features proud patrician houses in cozy narrow streets. The Fountain of Justice features a statue and a pretty octagonal fountain basin.A hiking trail leads to the Mont de Gourze, a panoramic mountain at 925 meters above sea level. The view goes far and shows the Alps in addition to the basin of Lake Geneva.

“It was a fabulous day starting with a boat trip up the lake to Vitznau, then stepping onto the train up to Rigi Kaltbad. The mineral baths were totally relaxing, from the bubble pools to the stunning outdoor views, plus the herbal steam room, mineral pool tranquility and sauna. A truly sensational day.”
