“Well explained, exciting.”
Balsthal
Balsthal is located in the Thal Nature Park on the old Roman trade route over the Upper Hauenstein. It connected the town of Avenches with Augusta Raurica near Basel. In the village, the wheelchair-accessible swimming pool Moos is very popular. It offers two diving boards and a speed/wave slide for non-swimmers. Herrengasse features buildings worth seeing from various eras. These include the Old Amtshaus, the Kreuz Inn, the Rössli Gallery and the former Kornhaus. The two castle ruins Neu Falkenstein and Alt Falkenstein characterize the surroundings.
