The Local Museum Obermutten explores various aspects of rural life in the Walser mountain village of Mutten. In the 17th-century wooden building, still used as a home, you’ll find a historic domestic interior complemented by selected objects from the museum collection. This creates small temporary exhibitions on themes such as lamps, lights, and more. The museum also aims to connect with cultural-historical themes. It presents the особенities of Walser culture and the history of the village, which has a special status as the only Reformed, German-speaking municipality in the lower Albula area. It also covers the different parts of the village and the Mutten village fire of 1946.
