About this place
The Toggenburger Museum is the regional museum for the Thur and Neckertal. Its history ranges from the Counts of Toggenburg to defining developments of the 20th century such as the Thur correction or the rise of winter tourism. Lavishly painted furniture and rural paintings, the Toggenburg costume and typical instruments highlight the folk art of the Alpstein region. Temporary exhibitions take place regularly in the vaulted cellar.
