About this place
Castle hill without traces of walls, surrounded by a deep neck ditch and side embankments. Until 1315, it was the seat of the barons of Teufen attested in 1116 (the Minnesänger Wernher v. Teufen is attested around 1220); the castle was abandoned in the 15th century. (Source: Burgenverein.ch)
