Schloss Arbon

Fortress built in 1262 by the lords of Arbon. Between 1515 and 1520, under the Bishop of Constance Hugo v. Hohenlandenberg, an extension to a residential wing (castle) and the tower were raised to 30 m, until 1798 the seat of the bishops’ bailiffs. Restored in 1972/72. (Source: Burgenverein.ch)
