Furkapass at a glance Furkapass connects Realp in the canton of Uri with Oberwald in Valais. At 2429 metres, it is one of the highest Swiss Alpine passes. The route became world-famous through the 1964 James Bond film «Goldfinger». On the Valais side, the historic Hotel Belvédère sits in the middle of a hairpin bend. The pass is open from June to October.
