About this place
The Ortsmuseum Hinwil is housed in a four-part Flarz row house from the 18th century with barn, storehouse, Turpenschopf and Spritzenhaus. The local history collection shows living and life in the Flarz house in the 19th century in originally furnished rooms, uniforms and weapons, agriculture and crafts in Hinwil up to 1900, depictions of farm work through the year, and fire-fighting equipment from 1800 to the present day. In a separate display store, the museum’s entire holdings are exhibited, arranged thematically in ten rooms.
