Find here your deep snow experience with heliski. A helicopter takes you to a snow-covered mountain. Through untouched deep snow you ski down in the company of an experienced heli guide. This unique skiing experience is also known as "powdering", as a lot of snow is swirled up during the descent. The helicopter accompanies the descent and brings the skiers back to the top if necessary. In this way, 15000 to 25000 vertical meters of descent in deep snow are often completed in several days. In Switzerland, heliskiing is offered in Zermatt.

How high is the avalanche danger when heliskiing?
There is an increased risk of triggering an avalanche when heliskiing. Therefore, the snow and avalanche situation is checked daily in the affected mountain areas. This is done in close cooperation with the weather stations.
