Description
You are visiting the impressive Viamala Gorge. The gorge is a narrow rock formation with walls up to 300 meters high. Information about the geology and history of the gorge is available at the visitor centre.
A secured path leads down over 359 stairs into the canyon centre. There, you can see smooth-worn rock formations and millennia-old whirlpool basins.
Several bridges and walkways offer different perspectives on this natural monument.

- Limited free parking is available directly at the visitor centre near the Viamala Gorge.
Swiss Activities Tip
During opening hours of the Viamala Gorge, children have the chance to go on a treasure hunt here. Each child will find a surprise treasure. For a few Swiss francs, you can buy a treasure map with a treasure bag. This activity is mainly suitable for children aged 7-12. Available in German, English, and Italian (advance booking required for groups).
