Description

This gorge hike near Grimsel offers you a variety of thrilling obstacles. You can choose to overcome them all optionally, depending on your preference. The only exception is the spectacular 50-metre abseil at the start of the tour, which cannot be skipped. The Grimsel gorge impresses not only with its variety but especially with its wild landscape and rock formations.

You will be picked up at a prearranged location and driven to the base in Matten near Interlaken. There, together with the guide, you will prepare all the equipment for your adventure. Afterwards, you’ll head to the Grimsel Pass, about an hour’s drive away.

Before entering the canyon, your guide will give you a detailed safety briefing and explain the rules as well as the key techniques.

The trip through the gorge kicks off with a real highlight: you abseil 50 metres down into the canyon right at the start. Then, for 2 to 2.5 hours, you continue over natural water slides, past waterfalls, through crystal-clear pools, and jumps into deep basins.

At the end of your adventure, you’ll be treated to a drink and a small snack before the drive back by car begins.
