Swiss Activity Tip
If you're spending more time around the Brienz and Thun lakes, visiting the St. Beatus Caves is definitely worth it. Embark on an adventure in the area's mountain slopes. The famous dripstone caves are best explored on a guided tour, but you can also explore some parts of the caves on your own.
Getting around by wheelchair
- The motor vessel (MS) Interlaken is not wheelchair accessible.
- All other ships on Lake Brienz have wheelchair-accessible main decks including accessible toilets.
- The docks are designed to be barrier-free.
Out and about with the dog
- Small dogs up to 30 cm can travel for free if they remain in a carrier for the entire journey.
- Dogs without a carrier and all dogs over 30 cm at the shoulder require a valid dog ticket at half the price of second class, with a maximum charge of CHF 10.00 (dog day ticket).
- The dog day ticket and the SBB dog GA are valid on all scheduled boat trips.
- Dogs are allowed both inside the ship's interior and in the ship's restaurant.
