Walenstadt
Walenstadt is an idyllically situated community on the eastern shore of Lake Walen. It is located in Sarganserland and offers a variety of leisure activities such as hiking and water sports. A beautiful shore hike leads from Walenstadt to Quinten. From Walenstadt you have an excellent view of the mighty Churfirsten chain. Climbing excursions in the rocks of the Churfirsten are very popular. In Walenstadt two rivers flow into Lake Walen: the Binnenkanal and the Seez.
