Why toboggan only in winter? Large and branched summer toboggan runs invite you to do this in summer as well. Besides, you can enjoy the beautiful landscape in peace.
Close to the mountain station at Alpe Foppa is the large Monte Tamaro sledding track. It stretches 800 m long and features several twists and turns. In a double sled, you can reach speeds of up to 50 km/h.
Kids aged three and up can ride along with at least one person who's at least eight years old and 1.35 m tall.
The sledding track is open from April until the end of the first week of November, from 9:00 am to 4:45 pm. In July and August, it's open an extra hour, until 5:45 pm.

Monte Tamaro is located not far from the eastern shore of Lake Maggiore and is easily accessible from all towns in Ticino. The valley station of the cable car is in Rivera.

The famous sledding destination Bosco Gurin also has a toboggan run. The run starts in Rossboda and stretches over a kilometer down to Capanna. The toboggan lift type operates on a single track, allowing for an unusual incline in the curves. The summer toboggan run is suitable for both adults and children and is open daily (except Mondays). The run is also operational in winter.
For example, you can find a summer toboggan run on the Pfingstegg. It is also called Toboggan and accelerates up to 45 km/h. It runs over a distance of 725 meters from the top station to the bottom. If you want to ride it again right away, that's no problem. A toboggan lift will take you to the top

Summer toboggan runs are also available at Pilatus, Appenzell, Grindelwald, Interlaken, Engelberg, Kerenzerberg, Saas Fee and other places
The longest summer toboggan run is considered to be the Fräkigaudi operated by Pilatusbahnen. The bobsled run Schongiland is even covered and can be ridden even when it rains
Summer tobogganing is usually done via a summer toboggan run. This facility is independent of snow or ice. You toboggan down to the valley on rails (Alpine Coaster) or in gullies. With both types of facilities, you can determine your own speed by means of a braking system. Recently, there are also summer toboggan runs, on which you drive down with a predefined vehicle, without being bound to a chute or track.
Most summer toboggan runs are designed so that you can go down in pairs. On the Pfingstegg, for example, this is possible. However, please note the special rules of the respective track.
Each summer toboggan run has rules that are published on the homepage and at the run itself. By buying a ticket you automatically accept the rules
