Grimentz is located in the French-speaking Val d'Anniviers at an altitude of 1553 m. The resort in Valais is situated on the left bank of the river Gougra on a sunny terrace facing southeast. The Corne de Sorebois mountain divides the Val d'Anniviers into the Zinal and Moiry valleys. There are 100 km of hiking and biking trails waiting for visitors in the Val d'Anniviers.
