“The landscape, the railway's route, and the old town of Domodossola are all amazing. However, in train operations, there’s often some improvisation. While it has its charm, there’s definitely room for improvement.”
Gambarogno
Gambarogno is a fusion municipality in Ticino that runs along the eastern and southern shores of Lake Maggiore. It consists of a number of scattered villages. Gambarogno offers an idyllic landscape for hikers and nature lovers. Worth seeing are the Gambarogno-Magadino fortresses with the Forte Olimpio museum. The fortifications date back to the time before the First World War. In the Magadino plain, at the mouth of Lake Maggiore, lies one of the nine Swiss alluvial landscapes. The Bolle of Magadino is a nature reserve and breeding place for many bird species.
