Brigels
Brigels is a municipality in the Surselva, which extends over an area between 733 and 3418 meters above sea level. The village of Brigels lies at 1280 m above sea level and has been inhabited since the early Middle Ages. The municipality borders Glarus Süd to the north. The highest virgin spruce forest in Europe can be found to the north-west of the village. It has been the Scatlè nature reserve since 1911. Brigels has four churches and chapels. The chapel of St. Eusebius stands to the north of the village on a Celtic/Roman castle mound and is a pilgrimage church.
