It’s centrally located between Zurich and Lucerne and has excellent transportation connections. The municipality is known for its diverse landscapes, featuring numerous forests and recreational areas between Albis and Zugerberg. Baar boasts a vibrant cultural scene, lots of clubs, and traditional events like the Räbefasnacht. Historically, Baar has been inhabited for over 4,700 years.

“For me, it was a very good guided tour, even though, as a long-time resident of Einsiedeln (Matura 1964), I already knew quite a lot. On today's visit, I brought along a young man from the neighbourhood who had never been to Einsiedeln before. It was an interesting experience for both of us.”
