Altdorf

Altdorf lies around 450 meters above sea level to the south of Lake Uri, part of Lake Lucerne. The capital of the canton of Uri is known for its historical significance. One of the main sights is the Wilhelm Tell monument on the central square. The Tell Museum is also located nearby and offers interesting insights into the history and legend of the national hero William Tell. For nature lovers, Altdorf offers numerous hiking and cycling trails, especially along the picturesque Lake Lucerne and in the surrounding Alps.

“What an amazing experience we had me my grandson and daughter and a friend I’m disabled on a mobility scooter they were so accommodating they gave me my own table to make my bear and lollipop nothing was to much trouble and we enjoyed the experience from start to finish 🌟”

“A great idea, very well executed and presented. It’s frustrating that I can’t see what I’ve already written here!! I would have liked to hear more about nightlife back then. What happened to the sick or women in labour? What about runaway children or raging epidemics at night? But it was great, thank you very much!!”
