Hedgehogs, buzzing insects, reptiles, colourful bird and butterfly species – all of them need so-called small structures in their habitat. Small structures such as piles of branches or stones perform vital functions for them: they are a refuge, breeding site and resting place for reproduction and hibernation, they make it easier to find food and to spread to other suitable habitats. To help as many animal and plant species as possible feel at home in the near-natural garden, different habitats are needed. With wood or sand lenses as well as native plants and wild perennials, natural conditions come into the garden. Equipment: work clothes Meeting point: in the garden of the Schulmuseum Speaker: Markus Allemann, Naturgärten GmbH, 9562 Märwil The course takes place in all weather.
