KEEP IT CO₂OL ‒ Can high-tech save us?

“I mustn’t fly any more! – I must give up my car! – And I mustn’t eat meat any more either!” That should not be everything that comes to mind when we want to protect the climate by reducing CO2 emissions. At ETH Zürich, we are researching technologies that will still allow us to fly, drive cars and eat meat in the future. Unlike today, however, the aircraft will fly on sustainable fuels made from solar energy; cars will run on renewable energies and meat will grow in the laboratory. Utopia or a realistic scenario? focusTerra discusses where we stand and what options we have for dealing with our excessive CO2 emissions as part of the "KEEP IT CO2OL" exhibition with the public and experts from science, industry and politics.
