This peaceful place with large natural areas at the foot of the Jura has always served for relaxation and learning. In the park with its idyllic gardens, ponds and streams, you forget the hectic everyday routine and can recharge your batteries. Very close by, you will also find the worthwhile Centre Dürrenmat, built by the internationally renowned architect Mario Botta. Friedrich Dürrenmatt’s former home, integrated into the new museum building, is now devoted to Dürrenmatt’s manuscripts and visual work. Just a few steps from the botanical garden, you reach the Zeitpfad. This hiking trail lined with wooden sculptures invites you on a journey through time, from the Big Bang to the first humans, where one metre equals one million years.
