A MASQUERADE BALL OF EMOTIONS Riccardo, the Glarus bailiff in Werdenberg, loves the wife of his closest confidant – in secret and without hope. When a fortune-teller utters a dark prophecy, a web of intrigue and betrayal begins to form. The governor’s political opponents sense their chance. Between jealousy, conflict of loyalty and forbidden love, the action tightens – until everything culminates in a glittering masquerade ball, where no face shows what the heart feels.
