Description

Have you ever watched a telemark skier skiing downhill? It may look complicated, but the technique is not that difficult to learn. Or have you already gained your first knowledge and would like further tips from a professional? Whether you are a beginner or an advanced skier, you can learn and practice this special way of skiing down the slopes in a private course.

Originally, this downhill technique comes from Norway. In telemarking, only the tip of the ski boots is fixed by a binding. Characteristic of telemarking is the alternate forward pushing of the foot in the turn. With the uphill leg, the skier kneels on the ski with the heel lifted from the binding

Skiing skills are required for telemarking. If you can handle the parallel turn on red slopes with your skis, you meet the requirements for this course. The instructor will be able to respond to your previous knowledge and your needs and give you valuable tips on skiing style and technique.

The learning goal for beginners is to learn the telemark technique, i.e. to make first experiences with controlled turns in easy terrain and to know the safety aspects. For the advanced skiers, the advanced telemark technique will also be looked at in steeper terrain, as well as short turns and carved forms. In addition, skiing with extreme slope will be practiced.

In the midst of the fantastic mountain scenery of the Jungfrau region, you will learn a new technique in just a few hours and can use it to expand your snow sports repertoire. The snowy peaks all around and the magnificent view invite you to spend as much time as possible on the slopes and enjoy nature.
