Embark on an exciting excursion into an old Swiss tradition - cheese making on the alp. You can expect a two-hour guided excursion to the Triftalp with an insight into cheese production. At the valley station of the Hohsaas cable car you will meet your guide and together you will take the cable car to the intermediate station "Trift".

About 10 minutes walk from the intermediate station is the Triftalp. Here you will meet the alpine dairyman or the cheesemaker, who will tell you about their daily life on the alp for about 90 minutes and show you how the delicious alpine cheese is made. After visiting the alp, you can either take the cable car or walk back to Saas-Grund

The SaastalCard includes the cable car ride between Saas-Grund and the intermediate station Trift. You will receive this in your accommodation if you spend at least one night in the region.
