Meeting point: Lausanne-Ouchy.
Here starts the trip with the paddle steamer Belle Époque.
You will travel: along the Lavaux vineyards
The Lavaux vineyards are a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The view of the vineyards from the ship is absolutely unique. The beauty of Lavaux was created by the recession of the Rhone glacier and the work of many monks in the 12th century.
You stop: at the Chillon Castle
This famous castle stands on an oval rocky island and was originally built as a checkpoint for the route between the north and south of Europe. Today's castle is the result of centuries of construction and remodeling
You will drive: past the "Pearls of the Swiss Riviera".
Here you can enjoy a beautiful view of the Vaud Riviera and discover Vevey and Montreux. You can also admire the unique view of the Alpine peaks of the cantons of Vaud and Valais and the High Savoy.
Optional enjoy: Drinks and snacks
During the cruise you can optionally enjoy a snack. In case of lunch it is recommended to book in advance.
Navigation Route: Boarding or disembarkation is possible at any station, but there are only 3 trips per day, so we recommend to check the exact schedule beforehand and decide on a disembarkation point.
If you also want to admire the Chillon Castle from the inside, you can get off at the Chillon pier and return to Lausanne 3 hours later. However, this is only possible if you choose the first departure from Lausanne.
There are many photo spots around Chateau Chillon. Walk along the shore to find the perfect perspective from land. On the boat ride back you will get a unique view of the castle from the water.
