The dreamy glacier village of Grindelwald
Ride the famous Jungfrau Railway to the top of the Jungfraujoch
Marvel at the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau
World of experience on the Jungfraujoch
Grandiose panoramic view of the Swiss alpine world
You start your eventful excursion later in the morning in the center of the Bernese Oberland in Interlaken. You join the tour group, which has already started in Zurich, in the comfortably equipped coach that transports you from Interlaken to the breathtaking glacier village of Grindelwald
The journey takes you past imposing mountain ranges, rock faces and untouched nature that you should not miss. A bus ride through the perfect postcard landscape awaits you!
The small alpine village of Grindelwald is located at an altitude of over 1000 meters and directly at the foot of the Eiger North Face. You will be able to feel and breathe the alpine magic already here, because Grindelwald is surrounded by paradisiacal winter forests, glacier tongues and rocky steep slopes
In the slightly nostalgic, yellow-green cog railroad Wengernalbahn you will start the ascent to the top of Europe (Top of Europe). Arriving at Kleine Scheidegg, you change to the famous Jungfrau Railway, which takes you through the mountain massif of Eiger and Mönch the last, incredible 1400 meters in altitude to the Jungfraujoch. Riding through the interior of the famous triumvirate of Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau is simply a unique experience.
You arrive at the highest railroad station in Europe: the Jungfraujoch station is located at an incredible 3454 meters above sea level, where wonderfully cool temperatures await you. A path leads you out of the tunnel station, from where you can head towards the Sphinx viewing platform. The platform, which was renovated in 1993 into a modern lookout point equipped with an ultra-fast glass lift, presents you with an absolutely bombastic panorama that you can only see in all its glory from up here
From here, in good weather conditions, you can enjoy a view of neighboring Germany, Italy and France, of the impressive Aletsch glacier, the longest glacier in the Alps, and of countless four-thousand-meter peaks. This view literally takes your breath away!
But the Jungfraujoch has a lot more to offer. Visit the Alpine Sensation adventure tour, which takes you through a tunnel full of history. The trail impressively shows what miners of that time achieved to carry out this enormous construction project through alpine rock and at icy heights. The tour leads you past a piece of history and walls decorated with edelweiss to the giant snow globe, which shows a typical Swiss miniature snow world as a conclusion
Further on it leads you to the Ice Palace, a real duty on the Jungfraujoch. It is cut into the glacier, a hall of over 1000 square meters in the deepest ice. A world of beautiful blue tones and mirror-smooth ice walls awaits you, as well as works of art and figures carved into the icy niches
Discover animals frozen in ice and intricate paths in the middle of the eternal ice of the glacier. This breathtaking day will end on the descent to Lauterbrunnen. While you enjoy the wonderful view of the snowy world of the Swiss Alps once again, you say goodbye to the Jungfraujoch and all its incredible impressions.
In Lauterbrunnen the coach awaits you for the return journey to Interlaken.
