Description
At 09:10 you will meet the hiking group at the meeting point. This hike takes you from Bremgarten along the Reuss river to Muri. You will be accompanied by an experienced guide who grew up in the region. The guide will first lead you through Bremgarten and introduce you to the eventful history of the Habsburgs.

Then you walk along the Reuss river to the Emaus Chapel in Zufikon. In Hermetschwil a Benedictine monastery from the 12th century awaits you. From there you continue to the Flachsee, an artificial biotope and bird sanctuary. There, all nature lovers will get their money's worth.

Finally, the tour continues through green forests to Muri. There you will be offered another coffee. After the hike you can optionally take an exciting audio tour of the Muri monastery.

The Mägenwil quarry is located near Bremgarten. There you can admire large sculptures carved into the stone. Children can let off steam at the quarry and pull out old fossils. On a few days a year, the old quarry train even runs. A visit is very worthwhile if you are in the region for a longer time.
