It is not surprising that Lucerne is one of the most beautiful and charming cities in Switzerland. After all, it is a jewel of medieval architecture, full of sights and cultural institutions. During this day trip you will have the opportunity to explore Lucerne and its surroundings - and feel the magic of Lucerne yourself!
You will start in Zurich. A modern coach will take you comfortably to Lucerne. On the way there, you will see the idyllic Swiss landscape pass by the windows. The tour guide will enlighten you about history and traditions and thus help you to gain a deeper understanding of Switzerland and its people
A photo stop is made at the beautiful Lake Lucerne. The turquoise lake and the mountains in the background make a dreamlike motive. This is followed by an orientation tour of Lucerne. The tour guide will point out the most important sights, e.g. the richly decorated Jesuit Church or the Chapel Bridge, the oldest wooden bridge in Europe. Afterwards you have enough time to explore Lucerne on your own. Let yourself drift through the alleys of the old town or visit one of the many cozy cafes
Strengthened, you will then continue on to Lake Lucerne. The modern Bürgenstock shuttle will take you to the other shore, more precisely to Kehrsiten. From there you take the famous Bürgenstock Railway. This old-fashioned funicular takes you to the top of Bürgenstock (1,100 meters) in an extremely stylish way. Here you will find, among other things, the Bürgenstock Resort, a luxury hotel where Charlie Chaplin and Sean Connery have already stayed
On the Bürgenstock you can either take an easy hike, stop at one of the typical inns, or simply take in the breathtaking view of Lucerne and the lake
In the late afternoon you return to Lucerne by funicular and boat, where the coach is waiting to take you back to Zurich.
