Giesbach Falls on Lake Brienz

Experience two of the most beautiful lakes in Switzerland with the BLS Schifffahrt day ticket. You can board at Lake Thun in Interlaken West or Thun, at Lake Brienz in Brienz or Interlaken East

The 2-hour boat trip for you across the crystal clear, blue Lake Thun in the midst of the mountain landscape of the Bernese Oberland with the seven most beautiful peaks. Stockhorn, Niesen, Morgenberghorn, Oberberghorn, Niederhorn, Sigriswiler Rothorn and Blueme lookout tower.

These open the view on unique nature, green meadows, forests, the Alps and in addition on the white peaks of Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. While you can indulge in culinary delights in the on-board restaurant, your tour will take you past fantastic mountain panoramas and castles lying on the shore. The lake connects 5 of them with your very own personality - Hünegg Castle, Oberhofen, Schadau, Spiez and Thun

Hünegg Castle not only houses a museum, but is also considered a unique example of the way of life in past times. Models for the architecture of the estate, built in 1861-1863, can be found among the French Loire castles. The magnificent residence is located in a spacious, beautiful park directly on Lake Thun. When you pass by by boat, you will also see a carefully landscaped park with native and exotic trees surrounding the magnificent building. Another property your tour will take you past is the stately Oberhofen Castle. The romantic castle annex, with its keep built around 1200, looks back on an eventful history of ownership. In 1844 it was bought by the count family Pourtalès and rebuilt as a summer residence and got its appearance preserved until today. Its castle park is also considered one of the most beautiful gardens in the Alpine region

The Schadau Castle is a listed building of national importance and is owned by the city of Thun to this day. In 2019, it was reopened as a boutique hotel after 2 years of renovation. With its location directly on Lake Thun in Schadau Park, an English garden with views of the Mönch and Jungfrau, it offers a fairytale sight. The cruise on Lake Thun also takes you past Spiez Castle & Castle Church, which are located on a peninsula on Lake Thun Mighty and lofty, the medieval Thun Castle towers over the city on the shore of the lake. The building is a uniquely preserved witness to the architecture of the Dukes of Zähringen and was built around 1200

In addition to the magnificent castles, your tour will take you past the Neuhaus nature reserve, the Beatus caves, Spiez, Gunten, Oberhofen, Hilterfingen, Hünibach and finally to Thun.

You can experience the boat trip on Lake Thun all year round and listen to the gentle crashing of the waves.
